This year on 6th September the climbers will congregate
in Moshi ready for departure up the Umbwe Route. On Tuesday 7th
September, led by a team of experienced guides, climbers will set
off on this challenging yet sparsely populated route up through
thick forests to incredible vistas of lava fields and glaciers
as they make their way up the most exhilarating approach to the
summit. After celebrating your summit with breathtaking views of
Tanzania and Kenya, you will descend via the Mweka route to return
to Moshi on 12th September. The trek will span 6 days to give climbers
the best chance of acclimatization for a safe and successful ascent
and descent.
